Our CEO + Co-Founder, Belinda just threw us a really fun holiday party at The Gutter, a local bowling alley!
Not only did we get 4 lanes to ourselves, and bowled our hearts out, but we were also treated to delicious Venezuelan arepas from a great local restaurant called Caracas Arepa Bar (since the alley is BYOFood).
Move over nachos and fried chicken fingers, we might have found the best bowling food out there!
While we can’t recreate the quality of the arepas that we ordered from Caracas, we can certainly try with help from Maribel Araujo, owner of Caracas, and her executive chef, Ilse Parra.

Happy Holidays from all of us on The Butter Beans Team!

I love The Gutter! Nice to see another NYCer on here!
Love it too! I went there for my birthday a few years ago, and the holiday party there was so much fun! Our commissary kitchen/office is located in Sunnyside and our company was founded by two Brooklyn moms
Cool!
Love how you break down the cost of your meals, great idea!
Thanks! I often hear people say that cooking healthy or at home is too expensive, but we spend between $100-$200 a month on groceries for two people in one of the most expensive cities in the world. I hope it helps people see that healthy eating isn’t just for the rich!
Amen! Keep up the great work
You too! I love your blog!
Thanks Mona!
